National Plan for Vacation Day

Did you know that in 2015, more than half (55%) of American workers left a total of 658 million vacation days unused?

January 31st is National Plan for a Vacation Day which encourages Americans to declare their vacation days for the rest of the year.

We know a little something about making bold declarations in Pennsylvania. Have you ever heard the one about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

It’s time to start thinking about how we want to spend our days and where. Vacations are not a luxury — they are a necessity for a well-balanced, healthy, and happy life.

And lucky for you (and us!) happiness is our keystone!  The pursuit of happiness is what we are all about.

So when you decide to take back your time off and visit, here’s our challenge for you: pursue your own happiness. Whether you find it in the rugged beauty of our greater-than-great outdoors, the artistic spaces of our cultural centers, the hallowed grounds of our historical sites, or the welcoming small towns tucked away in our rural countryside, well, that’s up to you.

We are happy to give you a few helpful tips for your vacation-planning process. Sit back, pull up a chair, and enjoy reading up on some amazing destination spots that Pennsylvania has to offer. And remember: now is your time. Take a stand against corporate America and declare your vacation with Pennsylvania. #PlanForVacation
