10 Ways to Fuel Your Creativity at the Crayola Experience
Family fun awaits you at the Crayola Experience in Easton! Just a short drive away from Philadelphia and New York City, the Crayola Experience is four floors of activities and is the only place in the world where the magic of Crayola comes to life.
Crayola is where color, chemistry, and technology magically combine to create a fun-filled, colorful adventure for a kid’s imagination. The family attraction is filled with 28 hands-on exhibits for kids of all ages. Take a whimsical, color-filled adventure with the following unique experiences:
1. Wrap it up!
Crayola is known for the distinctive names of their crayons, including Unmellow Yellow, Cornflower, and Atomic Tangerine, and everybody has their favorite. Wrap It Up! allows visitors to create their own unique Crayola crayon label for the crayon of their choice that they can take home!
2. Paint Palette
A trip to the Crayola Experience is not complete without creating a painting. Visit the larger-than-life drying oven to make sure that your masterpiece is dry and ready to go when you leave. Paint Palette also offers Crayola Puffy Paint (additional cost) to take your painting from 2-D to 3-D! Don’t forget to pick up additional supplies to “cut, color, and paste” once your painting has dried!
3. Melt & Mold
Crayon wax can be used to create many different projects and Melt & Mold allows you the opportunity to create a special keepsake. Load your favorite crayon colors into the mold and watch them as they melt and harden into rings, critters, and other special souvenirs.
4. Be A Star
Say Cheese! Be A Star turns your photo into a coloring page! Pose with your family or by yourself and interact with the funny backgrounds to create a unique coloring page. You can also take your coloring page to the Crayola Store and turn it into t-shirts, puzzles, or a canvas to hang on the wall (additional fees for merchandise)!
5. Crayon Factory
Join Scarlett and Turk, the animated friends of the Crayola Experience, and learn how crayons are made in a live theatre show. Learn why Crayola crayons are so special and discover some little-known facts about the world’s most iconic colorful tools.
6. Drip Art
Drip Art takes a fun spin on the classic technique of spin art. Load a crayon into the drip art machine and watch as the wax melts and drips down onto the spinning sheet of paper and creates a masterpiece.
7. Toddler Town
This area is geared towards Crayola’s youngest fans. Toddler Town lets kids make bright designs with a multicolored pegboard and interact with a giant ball maze!
8. Color Playground
The two-story playground allows kids to run around and burn off all their energy before you end your trip to the Crayola Experience. The playground features the Crayola Climber, the Chalk Walk, and the Dry-Erase Safari. Each section of the playground allows for dodging, squeezing through obstacles, drawing, and creating!
9. Big Blue
Created from 123,000 blue crayons donated from all over the world, Big Blue greets you as you enter the building. The world’s largest blue crayon weighs in at 1,500 lbs. and is a major hot spot for family and group photos!
