An Evening with Harold Holzer: Brought Forth on This Continent

The Midtown Scholar Bookstore is honored to welcome bestselling historian Harold Holzer to Harrisburg for a conversation and signing on his new novel, Brought Forth on This Continent: Abraham Lincoln and America Immigration. This event is in partnership with the National Civil War Museum. Nichols will be in conversation with Jeffrey Nichols, CEO of the National Civil War Museum. From the acclaimed historian and winner of the Lincoln Prize, Brought Forth on This Continent assesses Lincoln’s life and legacy in a wholly original way, unveiling remarkable similarities between the nineteenth century and the twenty-first. Holzer offers a groundbreaking account of Lincoln grappling with the politics of immigration against the backdrop of the Civil War. This event is free and open to the public. To enter the signing line, books must be purchased from the Midtown Scholar Bookstore. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event, or you may pre-order a copy of the book for pickup/shipment. Pre-ordered books may not be signed until after the event.
