Sensory Saturdays occur on the second weekend of every month. This hour-long quiet time is designed to offer accessible art experiences for individuals with unique needs and abilities. On Sensory Saturdays we open the Museum early, at 10 a.m., and modify our galleries to make exploration easier for visitors who benefit from reduced sensory input. Modifications including dimming lights, muting audio and video displays, and adding access to calm spaces.

The Lehigh Valley Zoo’s Run Wild 5k/10k for Animal Conservation, Presented by Lyondellbasell, is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and helps to support animal conservation! The Zoo’s Run Wild takes place Saturday, August 10, 2024. The 5k begins at 8:30 AM; the 10k begins at 8:45 AM; award ceremonies to follow. Plus, one of our African Penguins will be out to congratulate runners after the race! All runners who complete the race will be entered into a drawing to win one of three incredible animal encounters!
