When it comes to Fourth of July parties, it’s only fitting that Philly would throw one of the biggest and best you’ll find anywhere in the U.S. With eight straight days chock full of celebration, June 28-July 4, 26th annual Wawa Welcome America! The “Party on the Parkway” featuring a free concert with headliner Pitbull promises to conclude with the largest July 4 fireworks display in a decade lighting up the night sky!

Pittsburgh knows to party, too! Join other revelers this July 4 at Point State Park for the EQT Celebrate America Flashes of Freedom festivities. Following a day-long celebration filled with music, kids’ activities, entertainment, food, and a flyover by the U.S. Air Force, you won’t want to miss the grand finale. Pittsburgh’s night sky will fill with shimmering fireworks choreographed to rousing patriotic music in one of the 10 best fireworks shows (according to the American Pyrotechnics Association) in the nation!

What do you get when you add a dash of brilliant colors to soaring jets of water and stunning fireworks that dance to the music of Tom Petty, Whitney Houston, Bruce Springsteen, and a few other musical legends? Longwood Gardens’ Hooray for the Red, White, and Blue Fireworks & Fountains show on July 1! A truly magical celebration of America’s birthday, the show features 1,340 colorful jets of water — some shooting 175 feet into the air — in a beautifully choreographed display of light, color, sound, and celebration you won’t want to miss!

Ever wonder what it takes to pull off those spectacular fireworks shows celebrating the Fourth? Here’s your chance to find out! Get a VIP behind-the-scenes look of the pyrotechnics and preview of the evening’s fireworks show at Central Pennsylvania’s 4th Fest in State College. Then get ready for an amazing 45-minute display of fireworks magic with 10,000-12,000 shells bursting above in the night sky, all choreographed to music with ground-based effects adding to the magic and a grand finale averaging 50 shells per second guaranteed to WOW!

Cap off an evening of live music, great food, and celebration on Independence Day Eve with some fantastic fireworks at Scranton’s 7 annual Scrantastic Spectacular. Choreographed to a variety of music selections, this firework show promises to be one of the area’s best!

If you love food trucks and you love fireworks, Harrisburg is the place you’ll want to be this Fourth of July. More than 30 food trucks will be serving up a wide variety of tasty treats from 3 to 9 p.m.at the Taste of Independence Food Truck Festival along Riverfront Park. Then sit back and enjoy not one, but two firework shows as both the Harrisburg Senators and the city put on quite the display of fireworks bursting in the skies above the Susquehanna!

Waldameer & Waterworld in Erie is opening its gates to all for its free fireworks show on July 3. Spend the day enjoying the park’s 100+ rides or cooling off in in the state-of-the-art waterpark before settling down to watch the night skies light up with fireworks galore.

What’s that? That boom is Summer Thunder at DelGross’s Amusement Park for the Great American Cinema Celebration with a toast to the best movies. As soon as you arrive tune into Froggy 98 for the fireworks soundtrack!

The Pocono Mountains just might be considered “fireworks central” for Independence Day celebrations, with many of the area’s towns and storied resorts opening their grounds and inviting all to enjoy some fun and spectacular fireworks. Honesdale kicks off the area’s fireworks extravaganza on July 2 with food, fun, and music in Central Park, and then a fantastic firework display in the skies above Irving Cliff. Shawnee Mountain Ski Area in East Stroudsburg is opening its gates at 7 p.m. on July 3 for its annual Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display, so bring your own chair or blankets for some great slopeside views of the fireworks. Also on July 3, the Mount Airy Casino & Resort in Mount Pocono and the Skytop Lodge are welcoming the all to join their guests for some great fireworks. Listen to patriotic music as fireworks light up the July 4 night sky over beautiful Lake Wallenpaupack. East Stroudsburg's Dansbury Park is the site of its two-day Annual American Freedom Festival culminating with a grand July 4 fireworks display.
